The associated nausea and vomiting of pregnancy are called morning sickness. Morning sicknesses -the morning part is a complete misnomer.

Another link that are disputed by some in the medical field are the possibility that the gender of the fetus play a role as well. This is because one study indicated that if the fetus are a girl then there are a fifty percent higher chance of morning sickness.
In some cases, when nausea are not present, it has been found that there are a higher incidence of possible miscarriage. Because the placenta or embryo are not developing properly, the hormone levels do not increase the same as with a normal pregnancy then there are no nausea. Some women have absolutely no morning sickness and deliver a perfectly healthy baby without any problems at all. So this is not true in all cases.
